  • Executive Coaching is meant for an organisation’s CEO or senior executives who are doing well in their current roles, but need to address a few critical capability gaps.
  • Operational Coaching is for managers and functional head to help solve the operational issue at hand. The coaching could be as short as a one-hour session and it could extend to several short sessions.
  • Corporate Counseling is for anyone dealing with a stressful situation. The intervention helps employees to find that needed balance, outsmart the stress levels and gain insight into better ways of functioning.

In the competitive and ever-changing world of business and industry today, managers and leaders are faced with the need to work in an increasingly and continuously challenging environment. To meet these challenges, one needs new perspectives, skill sets and modes of behaviour.  Executive  coaching engagement will help the coachee to achieve all of this.

The aim of executive coaching is to transform the quality of an executive’s working and personal life through sustained behavioural change.

Executive Coaching is primarily concerned with designing and facilitating change and continuous improvement.

It involves understanding and leveraging an individual’s strengths, as well as recognising and overcoming his or her weaknesses.

Executive coaching sessions frequently deal with interpersonal effectiveness, leadership development, personal change and transformation with a strong focus on various facets of the coachee’s behaviour.

Executive Coaching is meant for an organisation’s CEO or senior executives who are doing well in their current roles, but need to address a few critical capability gaps through personal change in order to be able to take on leadership positions.

While Executive coaching is typically for senior executives focusing on leadership development and behavioral change, and the engagement may last anytime between six months to a year.  Operational coaching, on the other hand, is short duration coaching to help the manager solve the issue at hand. The coaching could be as short as a one-hour session and it could extend to several short sessions.

The approach used is similar to STAR model ( Situation- Target- Action- Reflection) and it is about quickly getting the client or coachee solve the problem.  The unique model we have developed is called SAS ( State, Articulate and Suggest)

State:  the client states the problem

Articulate:  The coach helps the client articulate the problem in a more logical manner.  This could go back and forth several times, before a clear Problem is stated.  Very often the client would find answers in the Articulate stage itself.  When the problem is articulated correctly the person facing the issue would often get an idea of the right solution

Suggest: The third step is about the solution.

Some problems need a detailed analysis or approach used by any of the world class systems- PDCA, Six Sigma, Lean etc…  .It could be also a quick win solution that is recommend based on the coach’s experience handling similar problems or by doing a hypothesis test.  Another outcome of this stage could be a short-term solution followed by a suggestion to implement a long-term project or intervention

The Essence of this approach is that all the problem-solving tools, techniques and philosophies would essentially help us see the problem and the related solution from a commonsense approach.

Irrespective of a company having adapted a continuous improvement philosophy or not, there are always challenges faced by Engineers, Functional Leaders and also Executives running operations.  Operational coaching helps solve problem and as well as build capability.

To gain the optimum from the workforce, organization’s need to ensure that the environment is conducive and the stress levels are at a minimum.  With businesses being dynamic and challenges being the norm it can have a toll on the mental health of employees.

At Beyond Z we understand the need to maintain a balanced approach that will ensure productivity of each employee is high and working a joy. Our interventions help employees to find that needed balance, outsmart the stress levels and gain insight into better ways of functioning. We ensure that the employees are able to make healthy lifestyle choices by providing tools, knowledge and resources that help create better work environments.
